Form Validation

If you have a website form to collect data or for visitors to contact you then you may wish to have functions to ensure the form is submitted correctly. Using ASP using 'request.form' you can check the contents of submitted fields.

If request.form("firstname") = "" then
response.write "<b>Form Error.</b> Please enter your 'First Name'. <a href='javascript:history.go(-1)'>Back to Form</a>"
else
end if
%>

The above will not submit the form if the value = "" i.e. no information.
